"Bring Your Own Device" Information Night - June 8

BYOD Information Night - June 8
Posted on 06/05/2017
On Thursday, June 8, 2017 the Westborough Educational Technology Fund (WETF) is hosting a WHS BYOD hands-on, questions and answer, and support session from 6 pm to 8:30 pm in the Westborough High School lobby.

This session is for you if:

  • You aren’t sure what device to get and you want to see and try several before deciding
  • You aren’t sure if the device you already have is suitable
  • You have questions about the program or how BYOD works at WHS

When making your plans please be assured that a $200 Chromebook is a perfectly good choice and is what our middle and high school students have been using for several years.  Please also be aware that there are a lot of very inexpensive netbooks and Android tablets that may be fine for entertainment by don’t deliver the same value as learning tools that Chromebooks, iPads and laptops do. To help you avoid disappointment we suggest that families wanting to minimize the expense go with a Chromebook.

Thank you for your participation.

More information about the Bring Your Own Device program is available on our 1:1 website at:

You are of course free to get the device in the way that best meets your family’s needs and if you are looking for reference packages and/or purchasing options we are pleased to be partnering with the Westborough Educational Technology Fund to bring you the Westborough 1 to 1 Store at
